2018

The company undergoes a subtle re-branding to bring the branding more up to date and in line with its parent company. Circle Express, The All Round Logistics Provider.

2016

Rico Group (TVS SCS RICO) acquires a major shareholding in Circle Express. Day to day operations and management will not change although senior management will have a new reporting structure into Rico.

2015

Circle Express release an enhancement of the Track and Trace portal, providing customers with more flexibility in terms of POD retrieval.

2012

Circle Express moves into a brand new 122,000 sq ft facility in London Heathrow , 3 miles from the main Cargo Terminal in Heathrow expanding its operations , now offering X-Ray & ETD Services alongside operating its own ETSF.

2011

Opens a new 7000 sq ft Depot in Aberdeen in order to meet customers' expectations and deadlines. Strong supporter of the regions' oil/gas and fishing industry.

2010

Circle Express creates a team of highly trained dedicated professionals to the transport of hazardous goods. Very quickly becoming industry experts in movements of radioactive materials, explosives, and firearms. The company now also offers Circle Express’s in-house and commercial training programmes, including Driver CPC Training, ADR Training and Dangerous Goods Awareness Training.

2007

To celebrate our 25th anniversary, Her Royal Highness, The Princess Royal unveiled a plaque at our Heathrow Head Office. A very proud moment for the whole company.

2005

The Connection Couriers service is re-branded as Same Day in order to compliment our other range of services.

2005

A sixth depot opens at Leeds Bradford Airport to enhance the distribution services in the North East. This increases our ability to provide AM/Timed delivery in this important growing region.

2004

Circle Express Head Office moves to brand new premises at Axis Park, Langley (Heathrow) which was twice the size of our previous warehouse.

2001

‘Connection Couriers’ (a Same Day service) is launched at each depot to provide an in-demand, immediate response, door-to-door ‘specials’ service to supplement the distribution operation.

2000

A fifth depot is opened at Birmingham International Airport; a huge step forward in supporting our customers' across the UK.

1997

The acquisition of a major competitor – Manchester-based Freightspeed takes place, which adds two further depots, Glasgow and Bristol into the network and increases the Company’s facility at Manchester.

1996

Another depot is added at Exeter Airport to service the growing needs of clients delivering and collecting in the South-West.

1988

A rapidly expanding overnight delivery and same day collection service prompted the dissolution of Airlink Holdings, the divesting of all the other group services and the formation of ‘Circle Express Ltd’. At the same time, the purchase of Manchester based Phoenix Express took place to facilitate distribution in the North of England.

1982

Circle Transport merges with a coalition company, Infra Freight Services under a holding company – Airlink Holdings, encompassing all aspects of airfreight transport which included roller bed vehicles, contract hire facilities, warehousing and distribution.

1978

Circle Transport is launched and is one of the first distribution companies to offer the Heathrow airfreight industry a dedicated, low cost ‘same day’ delivery and collection service.

1975

The company was inaugurated originally as a mini-cab company based in West Drayton, Middlesex under the name of Revheath. Due to its close proximity to London Heathrow, the company inevitably became involved in the movement of small parcels in and around the airport. It wasn’t long before parcel movements outgrew passenger traffic.
